All-natural, no preservatives formula. KMR is a complete diet for kittens fortified with vitamins and minerals. KMR's life-saving formula closely matches queen's milk in protein and energy and also contains taurine. Powder formula is easy to mix with water.
Directions:
- Gently shake or stir one part of powdered KMR into two parts of warm water. A part is any measuring device you use - teaspoon, tablespoon or cup. Do not use a blender. All kittens should receive their queen's milk for at least 2 days. The colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases.
- Warm reconstituted KMR to room temperature. Feed kittens 2 tablespoons (30ml) of liquid per 4 oz (115g) of body weight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Kitten's needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Small or weak kittens may need to be fed reconstituted KMR every 3 or 4 hours, while larger and/or older kittens do well being fed every 8 hours. Weigh the kittens daily to assure adequate feeding. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice. Not for human consumption.
- When a food supplement is desired, for growing post-weaned kittens, show cats, and old, or convalescent cats, KMR powder should be fed at the rate of 1 teaspoon per 5lbs (2.2kg) body weight. For Pregnant and lactating mothers, mix KMR Powder into the daily ration at the rate of 2 tablespoons per 5lbs (2.2kg) body weight until 2 weeks after queening.
- Reconstituted KMR must be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Opened powder must be refrigerated for up to 3 months or can be frozen for up to 6 months.
